INTREX

This book, derived from a five-week Planning Conference in mid-1965, considers Project INTREX (Information Transfer Experiments). INTREX is to be a four-year effort to deal with the Torrent of information pouring into university, research, and depository libraries. The objective of INTREX is to “provide a design for evolution of a large university library into a new information transfer system that could become operational in the decade beginning in 1970.”
